The Wellness Joke Book Program is a unique community service project that combines therapeutic art and humor. Participants of all ages create handmade wellness joke books to be gifted to patients, displayed in hospitals, doctor’s offices and senior centers. These joy-filled joke books have even been sent to the troops in the Middle East in collaboration with United Way. ComedyCures worked with numerous service organizations, including the American Red Cross, to bring this healing program to Ground Zero relief workers and their family members.

This Wellness Joke Book Program is one of the only community service projects in the country designed to include patients living with illness. We have successfully facilitated this project with special needs children and ESL students. The project has been incorporated into the regular activities of schools, scout troops, senior centers, camps, and community organizations.
